Project FEESH: Product Design Assignment UPDATE

After finalizing my designs, here's what I have.

Business card.

In the end, a few things ended up going off line, so I'm going to have to reprint these babies soon. Not only that, but the font I used was also replaced. Hmmnmnmnnm.

Envelope. I accidentally printed these with their outlines, which will have to be erased in the next printing stage. I also accidentally printed it on an art card first. Wow, Raddy. Swell job.

Letterhead. So far, only the letterhead turned out okay, but I still have to add a phone number and an e-mail address on the top bar.

As for the product itself?

The logo has been completed! After sketching and drafting, I finally got to drawing it on CSP, but it ended up looking really unkempt...

Feeling unsatisfied, I went to AI and revamped it up a notch.

I've gotten myself TWO mascots!
One is Eii, and the other one is called Kann.
Their designs are as so.

Eii is a female mermaid, whose color scheme is mostly warm colors to show off her warm personality, and to incorporate the locality of the product, she's given a hibiscus (the national flower) to wear in her hair. All-in-all, she's an outgoing and cheerful girl that I hope the younger kids can look up to and idolize.

Kann is Eii's brother, who has a cooler color scheme to show his cool demeanor. He's not as brash or active as his sister, but Kann is a boy who's just as joyful and adventurous. He has a shark-like back to showcase his dreams in becoming strong and influential like a shark, and is working hard to reach his dreams! Hopefully, the kids will get the chance to grow with him, too.

As for the cereal box, the cover would look like this. It features the essentials, which are the company logo, the brand logo, the cereal itself.

This is the initial design (the bowl was sketched as a vector, and the cereal was initially supposed to fill the yellow diamond up in a splash-like motion).

Here is one of the earlier designs that includes the mascot!

Here is the current work-in-progress!

For the cereal cup, I've managed to get the top part down, but I'm wishing I can add more originality to it soon, but the essentials are there, at least! Just a few more all-nighters and I can finally finish it!

Wish me the best of luck-----

Nenek's Vector Portrait Project: Progress

Hey there!
Nur Atiqah here, reporting for duty.
In this entry, I shall update on my vector portrait project's design.

Basically, I will show my initial and final designs of my vector project,
after a long while working with it.
[Thank God I managed to finish it in time!]

Therefore, I'll get straight to the main point of this entry.

This is my initial design for my portrait vector:

Initial design.

However, I have received advice to fix the background,
[cause they don't look that attractive.. OTL]
And so I did!

So here is my final design:

Final design: SEE YOU IN AMERICA!

Well, that is all for my vector portrait project.
I really appreciate the advice that I received [also help from my lecturer!]

It really turned out nice and I really like it!
I had fun making it and I also hid something inside the design
[try to find it if you can!]

So yeah, that is all for my report on my vector portrait project.
I just hope that my other project is doing fine..
*SCREAMS*

With that,
I thank you for reading my humble entry.
See you soon!

Nenek's Website Project: Progress

Hello, this is Nur Atiqah Hassan or Nenek~!!
It's nice to see you guys again~

but for this particular entry, I will post updates on my website project!
I didn't have any problems while working on the project,

However, I did a few major changes to make it look better.
Therefore, I will show you the initial and final design of my website.

Starting with my initial design:

Initial design: Home Page

Initial design: Content Page 1

Those are my initial design of my website.
It's not much but at least I got to learn the layout of the design
after experimenting with the placements and logos.

But I know that it is not good enough,
So, I came up with another design.
[And I am actually quite proud of it!]

So this is my final design of my website:

Final design: Home Page

Final design: Profile Page

Plus, this is all of the pages for my website:

7 pages in total

Hence, that is all for this entry
[I don't have much to say.. sorry!]

Yeah...
Again, I thank you for reading my entry.
Tata!

Peter Parker is crying for my future.

Nenek's Product Packaging Project: Progress

Salutations readers!
Nur Atiqah Hassan here~

Aaaannndd,
This is my third entry in a row!!
[I'M ON FIRREE!!]
Haha, no, just kidding.

So, for this entry I will update on my product packaging project
Although, there's nothing much to say.
Let me just show you my progress on the project by
showing you the initial design and proceed with my final design.

First, I will show you some of my stationary's initial design:

Initial design: Letterhead

Initial design: Business card

Moving onto my initial product packaging design:

Initial design: Product packaging

At first, I was going for a fun and 'kiddy' design for my stationary.
Unfortunately, my product is not for children.
Instead, I was aiming for young adults or college students for my product
and that is why I changed it.
Because I missed my aim.

So yeah,
After making some major fixing on my stationary and my packaging's design,
I finally settled on one design that I like!
[that also has earned my lecturer's approval.. haha]

Therefore, this is my final design for my stationary design:

Final design: Letterhead

Final design: Business card

Final design: Envelope

Now,
Moving onto my final design of my product packaging's design:

Final design: Product packaging

Well, I'm actually still working on my packaging's design.
So it's not really the 'final' design
hahaha...
[I'M SORRY, MISS!]

I guess that is all for the update on my project.
Hope you guys had fun reading it~
I bid you farewell and safe travels!

Pepe dancing to my feels.

Project PORTRAIT: Vector Assignment UPDATE

Guess who's nearing the end of the semester! We are! Which means we should be done with our assignments. Right? Right. That's completely right.

For my Vector Portrait, I've nailed down most of what was needed to be done, and the face indeed, proved to be the biggest challenge. I managed to nail it, though, hopefully. I used as many vibrant colors as possible in the few swatches I have used, and managed to give it a bright, vibrant, surreal-ish feel, which was what I aimed for.

For the face, I initially tried very small pieces in pastel colors, but it ended up making me look like a virus. In the end, I scratched everything, started back from zero, and made new, larger shapes in the same basic colors used for the rest of me. In the end, I think it worked quite well.

For the background, I thought it'd be better to leave it empty seeing as how vibrant my self is, but in the end, something had to be done, or else it'd be boring and undetailed. So, I wanted to give it a pixel-ish video game feel, so I made pixelated clouds using square shapes, and made wider, rounder ones to fill in the rest of the sky. Simple mountains were also added! As the final touch, I added a little inside Pokemon reference. My inner nerd couldn't resist.

more bubbles! - portrait vector

Hi everyone! Today I'll be updating my portrait vector progress for the last time. After the previous update on it, I was told to edit it some more several times - I added more bubbles and changed the color of the cat's fur.  The concept was supposed to be of distortion and fading away but bubbles is also okay, if you wanna call it that. So here is the final product of my portrait vector.

Hence, since I was so satisfied with how pretty and pastel everything is, that I wanted to use this for my CD cover. Although Miss Ida disapproves, I will somehow try to incorporate this into the my final submission later. I think it's really cute, and being able to use the concept of pastel and distortion for my CD will actually be really cool if I put in enough effort to make it work, and I will try my best to do so as Miss had given us an extension for our final evaluation.

Also, following this update, I would like to encourage anyone who reads this to come and visit our exhibition on the 21st-23rd of October at INTEC Education College's Library, first floor. It will be open for public then and you can see our progress and final products live! It'll also be great support to all of us if you come and watch. Thank you for reading this blog since the beginning of the semester! Without us realizing it, it's already near the end of the semester. See you again next semester!

-Elyna Mahzan, out.

of flowcharts and layouts - website research

Hello there! Fancy meeting you here. I'm not proud of this next project as I feel that I still have a lot to improve and that my design looks really cheesy and unpolished and cheap, as Adani would put it. However, I shall show you my progress as this is a lot better than my previous update on the website research.

Firstly, I decided to keep the loading page. The home page was changed slightly to fit an advertisement and to not make the pages seem repetitive. I also ended up using the beauty of traditional Malay houses which is the wood carvings; specifically, the skirting of the roof of my Rumah Johor. Here are the current pages:

Does the product being advertised look familiar? Hehe

Next are the history, features, gallery and profile pages. Although it was hard to match their identities, by using similar color concept and basic shapes instead putting a vector everywhere, I finally got the pages to look slightly more professional than how it was before.

The next step to completing this project is to have a flowchart of the website layout. Although I had sketched something more complicated, I decided to keep the flowchart simple and easy to understand.

Therefore concludes my updates for the website research as for now. Stay tuned for my last post of the day!
